Vines

As I mentioned in my previous blog entry, I have been enjoying creating fun and unique jewelry pieces with wire. It's fun for me to create something that fits a person's personality.

I am so blessed to live in the Pacific Northwest, and to be surrounded by lush greenery. Despite the unusual hotter weather we've been experiencing this summer, praise the Lord that many plants continue to grow and flourish! The sides of the roads are still covered with blackberry vines and other plants. The vines inspired me to create the following ...

I wrapped some thicker wire with thinner wire.

I created some waves and swirls that reminded me of the views I see wherever I go. I molded it into the shape of a ring, and this is what I came up with.

Love Lines

Wire has become my favorite medium to use when making jewelry lately. It's versatile and you can mold it into a number of different things. The other great thing about molding wire is that no matter how many times you make the same item it is never the same. Every piece is completely unique.

This time I tried my hand at making something for my FANCY friend. I took some wire and molded it into a word that reflected one of the many wonderful attributes that my dear friend possesses - Love.

Here is the completed piece. It's amazing what you can do with wire!
